Sparta U19s are eliminated from the UEFA Youth League despite a 3-2 win over Altinordu in the second leg. At Žižkov, they managed to score three times, even though Zinedin Mustedanagič was sent off earlier in the match.

Sparta wanted a revenge after a 2-6 loss in the first leg in Turkey, but their plan got an early flaw, as Aktay converted Durak’s pass from the right only three minutes into the match. It was Aktay’s sixth strike in the tie against Sparta.

Sparta pushed hard, but efforts by Mustedanagič and Novotný were saved by Yanar and another header by Novotný went just wide. On the other side, Kotek prevented Aktay from scoring another with a brilliant save.

Six minutes into the second half, the situation got even worse for Sparta, as Zinedin Mustedanagič hit Aktay with an elbow and was immediately sent off.

However, the red card seemed like a motivation for the home side. Drchal took advantage of Altinordu’s defensive mistake and passed the ball to Fortelný, who levelled the score with a low shot.

Daniel Köstl was then ready at a far post after a long cross and put Sparta in front. Shortly after that, Daniel Mareček’s shot ended in the net as well and Sparta were just two goals away from advancing.

However, in the final pressure, Aktas made his way through a wide-open defence, beat Kotek with a lovely shot to the top corner and set the final score. Despite the win, Sparta were eliminated from the Youth League.
