Monday’s draw in Nyon decided Sparta are going to take on Russian side FC Krasnodar in the Europa League round of 32.

First leg will be played on February 18 at Letná, second leg a week later in Krasnodar, Russia. Times will be specified as soon as possible.

Krasnodar secured their European cup spot placing 3rd in the Russian top division last year, qualifying for the 3rd qualification round of the Europa League. In the competition’s qualification, Krasnodar eliminated Slovan Bratislava and HJK Helsinki.

Krasnodar shocked Borussia Dortmund in the group stage, winning the first spot ahead of the German side. They won all three home matches, losing only one in Dortmund. Wanderson and Mamaev both scored twice and are currently the top strikers of the team.

Sparta faced Krasnodar for the last time in the winter break of the 2013-2014 season. David Lafata scored our only goal in a 1-1 draw at a training camp in Spain.
