Sparta are delighted to announce the third winter signing! Josef Šural successfully completed his move from Slovan Liberec and signed a 3,5-year contract at Letná.

Homegrown player of Zbrojovka Brno has started to make his impact in top level football at Slovan Liberec, after joining the north-bohemian side back in 2011. Since then he played in 113 matches for Slovan, scoring 30 goals and winning one championship title.

In the current season, he took part in fifteen league matches, scoring five goals. Šural was also Slovan’s key player in this year’s Europa League campaign, missing only one match In the qualification rounds and group stage, scoring three goals. As he played for another club in the competition’s group stage, he will not be available for Sparta in the upcoming double-header against Krasnodar.

Šural has been a Czech national team player since the age of sixteen. Even though he missed the U21 category, he already played seven matches for the first team, including three in this year’s Euro qualification. He was one of the scorers in an amazing 3-2 win in Amsterdam.
