Sparta did a tremendous job in their first winter friendly. Against 2nd division side from Ústí nad Labem they dominated and defeated their opponent 7-1, as Lafata and Breznaník both scored twice.

Sparta had a great start, as Ladislav Krejčí converted a lovely lob by Mazuch to give Sparta the lead after only one minute of play.

David Lafata then scored after two crosses from the right – first by Konaté, second by Mareček, and Sparta were leading by three goals.

Ústí had a tough job at Strahov, but managed to score their only goal in the first half. Šnirc beat Bičík with a magnificent shot from outside the area.

Zdeněk Ščasný sent out a completely different line-up for the second half, but the goals kept on coming. Michal Breznaník made it 4-1 after only six minutes of play.

Two minutes later, Matějovský hit the net with a huge shot from the edge of the box and ten more minutes later Juliš found Breznaník unmarked in front of the empty net. Lukáš Juliš himself set the final score 7-1 ten minutes before the final whistle.
