Not a good day for Sparta again, who suffered a 0-2 loss in the first leg of the MOL Cup semifinals in Jablonec.

Karavaev’s long range effort, which went just wide of the post, was the first warning, it seemed. After only eight minutes of play, a free kick by Greguš went right though the crowd in front of the goal and ended in the goal.

Sparta were struggling in the offence, and so it was the home side to create the chances. Doležal dodged Štěch after a nice through pass, but could hit the net from an angle.

The start of the second half wasn’t good for Sparta either, as Trávník made it 2-0 Jablonec with a lovely volley from the edge of the box.

Lukáš Juliš failed in Sparta’s biggest chance of the match. After Krejčí’s brilliant individual effort and a nice cross to the box, Juliš slipped and didn’t even hit the ball properly.

Masopust then missed in the last chance of the match, rushing past Sparta defenders, but missing the goal witha dangerous low shot.
