34-years old midfielder Marek Matějovský leaves Sparta and heads to Mladá Boleslav to spend the remaining part of the season there.

Experienced midfielder made four appearances in summer friendlies and played in one Champions League qualifier against Steaua. Then he started to struggle with a knee injury.

In total, Matějovský had made 150 league appearances for Sparta and scored two goals. He won the Czech double in the 2013-2014 season, as well as two triumphs in the Czech Supercup.

Matějovský is Slavoj Stará Boleslav homegrown player, but made his senior debut at Mladá Boleslav. After a short spell in Jablonec, he returned back and attracted attention of Reading, for which he made 51 appearances between 2008 and 2010. After that he decided to join Sparta.

Matějovský also used to be a national team player, playing in 15 matches, scoring one goal in a 3-0 win over Germany at the Allianz Arena. Matějovský was a member of the Czech squad at EURO 2008.
