Almost eight hundred fans had arrived to Letná stadium to cheer for Sparta ladies, who were fighting for advancing from the Women’s Champions League round of 32. Unfortunately, they were not able to answer back after a loss in the first leg, and got defeated again.

Twente could go in front after only six minutes of play, as Pižlová grabbed the ball in the box after Vyštejnová’s pass, but Twente couldn’t score from an indirect free kick in their first big chance of the match.

On the other side, Kladrubský, Stašková, Mocová or Wagner couldn’t score the opener from their chances, and so it were Twente to strike first. Pižlová denied Beerensteyn from a breakaway, but Odehnalová, who arrived with a sliding tackle, bounced the ball to the net.

Before the halftime break, Sparta managed to level the score, as 16-years old striker Stašková netted it after a nice cross by Bertholdová and made it 1-1.

Shortly after the break, Bertholdová forced Lorsheyd to make a great save on her long-range effort, as well as Pižlová on the other side, denying R. Jansen from a breakaway.

However, after Markéta Ringelová got sent off after seeing her second yellow card, Sparta were one woman short and could not resist anymore. R. Jansen put Twente in front with a nice shot from the edge of the box, and Jill Roord then set the final score at the very end of the match.
