That was a huge battle in Příbram! Sparta defeated the home side 2-1 after two strikes by Josef Šural, who converted two brilliant crosses by Bogdan Vatajelu.

Petr Rada sent out the same starting line-up as in the last league match against Plzeň. Lukáš Juliš returned from injury, started as a sub and came on the pitch in the second half.

Sparta started the match off the best way possible and took the lead only four minutes into the match. Vatajelu crossed the ball from the left and Josef Šural beat home goalkeeper Hruška with a nice header.

Konaté had another good opportunity after another cross by Konaté, but missed the empty goal from an angle. Příbram managed to get back into the pace after conceding, but were struggling with creating their chances.

However, they levelled the score after a bad pass by Vácha, and Jan Rezek had an easy task of beating Bičík, who was far from his goal.

Sparta put the home team under a pressure in the second half, but David Lafata missed the goal in two of his big chances.

Josef Šural scored the game-winner in the additional time, converting another great cross by Vatajelu, to secure the three points for Sparta.
