Sparta said goodbye to the 2015-2016 season in style, beating Jihlava 5-0 in the farewell match of Radek Kováč, who retired after the match. David Lafata scored all the goals to become the best goalscorer of the Czech top division once again.

Lafata was one goal short of the top spot in the strikers table, but he started scoring goals straight away. Sparta had a two goal lead after twenty minutes of play, as the captain opened the score with a header, then added another goal by cleverly redirecting Kováč’s long-range effort.

Three more strikes came in the second half. First, Lafata tapped in a nice cross by Konaté, and the beat Rakovan with an amazing strike from a free kick.

In the 77th minute, Lafata added his fifth of the match and it was awesome. The captain lobbed the ball over Rakovan from fifty metres to set the final score. What a night!
