In the second test match in Spain Sparta lost 0-1 to Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, even though they were not the worse side on the pitch.

Against his former club, Mario Holek played in the starting line-up, but the other player, who used to call Dnipropetrovsk his home, Ondřej Mazuch, didn’t make the match squad at all. On the other side, Jan Laštůvka met his former teammates from the Czech national team.

After a first couple of successful offside traps, first real chances started coming. Fedetskiy redirected a free kick just over the bar and on the other side, Juliš fired wide with his shot in betweed a defender’s legs.

There was much more to come in the second half. Bičík denied Lukchevych from a breakaway, Martin Frýdek hit the defender with his first, and the post with his second shot from a dangerous scoring position.

Fatai could open the score after dodging the keeper, but his shot from a sharp angle was stopped by a defender on the goalline. Finally, it was the opposition to strike first. A shot from outside the box got redirected and found Zozulia right in front of the goal.

In the nervous final minutes of the match, Juliš and Politylo missed in their chances, and when the referees disallowed Sparta goal from the final moments of the match, it was sure Sparta would not record their first Spanish win this time.
